The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will commence on April 24, not April 25 as earlier stated.

JAMB spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, made this known in a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday.

Benjamin explained that the adjustment was made to accommodate essential commitments by the board and its partner agencies.

He further stated that prospective candidates can now print their notification slips, which contain vital information regarding their examination.

The notification slip includes details such as the examination date, venue (centre), time, and other essential instructions necessary for a smooth conduct of the exam.

“Candidates are encouraged to print their notification slips beginning from today, April 19.

“This will provide ample time for logistical arrangements and help them locate their assigned centres within their chosen examination towns.

“To print the notification slip, candidates should visit www.jamb.gov.ng, click on ‘2025 UTME Slip Printing,’ enter their registration number, and then click on ‘Print Examination Slip,’” he said.

Dr. Benjamin also advised candidates to familiarise themselves with their examination centres at least one or two days before the examination date.

According to him, such preparation will help ensure a smooth and stress-free experience on the examination day.

He emphasized that all candidates would be assigned to centres within their selected examination towns and that no candidate would be posted to a centre outside their chosen location.
