The Anambra State Police Command has rescued three children from their abductors.
The children aged three, seven, and eight were rescued from suspects already in the custody of the police.
A statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer DSP Tochukwu Ikenga called on residents of Abia, Akwa-Ibom, and Rivers states to help the command identify the children, for a possible reunion with their parents.
The statement gave the children’s names as David Frang (Male), 8, Sarah Frang, (Female), 3, and Chibuchi Sunday (Male), 7
According to him, the confessions of the suspects show the children were taken away from their parents in their respective states and brought into Anambra.
He, therefore, urged the public who knows the parents of the children to inform them to come to Anambra State Police Command with proof of parenthood.
The spokesperson assured that a proper check by the command would be done before handing the children over to their parents.Ikenga urged the public to call the command control room number 07039194332 or 08039334002 for a guide.
