The Special Investigator of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other related entities, Mr. Jim Obazee has concluded his probe.
President Bola Tinubu commended the former Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC), Obazee for successfully concluding his assignment.
In a statement by Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale on Friday in Abuja, Tinubu commended the investigator, Obazee for the dedication and professionalism he exercised “in handling the complexities of this critical national assignment”.
The President said the investigations had been formally closed and all appropriate law enforcement and regulatory agencies were already conducting follow-up actions.

He added that with the submission of a final comprehensive report and the winding up of all apparatus used during the scope of the task the assignment terminated on March 31.
The President thanked Obazee for answering the call to duty and wished him success in his future endeavours.
Jim Osayande Obazee ( born March 28, 1965) is the first Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC).
He held this position from the inception of the Financial Reporting Council on June 3, 2011 until January 9, 2017.
In that capacity, he was responsible for the setting, monitoring and enforcement of financial reporting standards and Corporate Governance practices in both Public and Private Sectors of the Nigerian economy.
Jim Obazee was born in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He attended Agbado Model Primary School 1,Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria; Edokpolor Grammar School, Ebomisi Secondary School. He holds a B.Sc in Accounting (University of Benin), M.Sc in Accounting (University of Lagos) and a certification in Strategic Financial Analysis for Business Evaluation (Harvard University, USA).
