The Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering (SCUML) of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has sealed the premises of two companies in Sokoto State for failing to comply with extant anti-money laundering regulations. The affected firms, Iman Multi Structures Ltd and Daraja Motors, both classified as Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBPs), were shut down on Monday, September 29, 2025. Video game company Electronic Arts (EA) said on Monday that it will be bought for $55 billion by a group led by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).
