The chief executive officer of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Ltd, NNPC, Mele Kyari says the Petroleum Industry Act, PIA, has put “all money-making options on the table” for the company. He disclosed this while addressing staff of the company in a townhall meeting held at the NNPC Towers, over the weekend, in which staff outside the Corporate Headquarters participated virtually. Kebbi state governor, Atiku Bagudu has approved the release of N44.4 million for payment of compensation to owners of lands acquired for the construction of solar power plant in the state. This is contained in a statement by Mahmud Warra, the Commissioner for Lands and Housing, on Saturday in Birnin Kebbi. The Debt Management Office (DMO) has released a calendar for the issuance of bonds for the first quarter of 2022 (Q1-2022). The calendar shows that on Jan. 16, DMO will issue a N70 billion to N80 billion, four years and 20 years Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) bond, with interest rate of 12.50 per cent. It has original tenor of 10 years and 20 years, and will re-open in January 2026 and January 2042. Sokoto state government is partnering the African Development Bank (AfDB) to set up ranches and grazing reserves in parts of the state. This was arrived at during a meeting between the state governor, Aminu Tambuwal and President of the African Development Bank, AfDB, Dr Akinwumi Adesina, in the bank’s headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
