The National Bureau of Statistics has said that in December 2021, Nigeria’s inflation rate has risen to 15.63 percent from 15.50 percent recorded in November. The Statistician-General of the Federation, Dr. Simon Harry, disclosed this during a press briefing on Monday. Data from the NBS showed that headline inflation has been on a downward trajectory since April 2021. The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola has ordered prisons officers to kill anybody who attempts to attack any correctional facility in the country. Aregbesola gave the order on Monday while inspecting the facility at the Agodi Custodial Centre, Ibadan.
