The probe panel inaugurated by the Chief Judge of Zamfara state, Kulu Aliyu to investigate allegations labeled by the House of Assembly against the Deputy Governor, Mahdi Aliyu began sitting on Monday and received seven witnesses. Justice Inyang Eden Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday refused the bail application of the detained Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari from custody.
