The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), in Kaduna, on Friday said it seized a truck loaded with Donkey meat and 12 sacks of Cannabis worth more than N250 million in one month. The Comptroller of Federal Operations Unit, Zone “B” Kaduna, Albashir Hamisu, told newsmen on Friday in Kaduna, that the items were concealed in 2,348 sacks and 126 Parcels with Duty value of N251,701,000 million paid. The Nigerian troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), have successfully overrun and captured the stronghold of the Islamic States West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists at Ukuba/Camp Zairo, in Sambisa Forest. The European Union (EU) will receive at least 15 billion cubic metres of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States (U.S.) this year. This would be an effort to wean itself off Russian gas imports, U.S. President Joe Biden said on Friday. The Supreme Court on Friday upheld the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to deregister 22 political parties. The electoral umpire had deregistered 74 political parties in 2020 by following their dismal performances in previous elections and the parties sued INEC for the act, which case led up to the Supreme court.
