A Federal High Court (FHC), Abuja, on Friday, struck out a suit filed by leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, against the Chief Judge, Justice John Tsoho. Justice Inyang Ekwo struck out the suit following an oral application made by Kanu’s counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, to withdraw the suit. An Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) investigator, Mr Samuel Adelana on Friday told an Ikeja Special Offences Court how a cleric, Ayodeji Olorunfemi, allegedly defrauded an octogenarian of N36.5 million. Olorunfemi is standing trial on a three-count charge bordering on obtaining money under false pretenses and stealing. President Muhammadu Buhari has urged the leadership of the National Assembly to stop the practice of approving special budget for government enterprises by committees of the parliament.
