The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has accredited the Delta state correctional centre in Warri for its examinations. The National Assembly (NASS) has said that only 11 States Houses of Assembly have passed the constitution amendment bills. The Chairman of NASS Joint Committee on Constitution Review and Deputy Senate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, who disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja on Tuesday, urged the remaining 25 to do so in the interest of Nigerians. Omo-Agege said that the committee recommended 66 Constitution Alteration Bills for passage by the states, saying however, that only 44 bills were approved. A priest of Onitsha Catholic Archdiocese, Rev. Fr. Joseph Igweagu, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Anambra. Zamfara government has apologized for shutting down the NTA, FRCN’s Pride FM Gusau and three other private broadcast media organizations. Poultry farmers have lamented the high cost of production and called for government intervention to address the challenges affecting the sector. The farmers made the call in separate interviews in Lagos on Monday.
