The Bank of Industry (BoI) on Tuesday signed an agreement worth 100 million Euros with the French Development Agency (AfD) for the expansion of green finance in Nigeria to tackle climate change. Managing Director, BoI, Mr Olukayode Pitan, said at the signing ceremony in Lagos that the transaction was approved by AFD under its Transforming Financial Systems for Climate (TFSC) Programme with the Green Climate Fund (GCF). An Ad-hoc committee of the House of Representatives has given the Nigerian Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) a seven-day ultimatum to reconcile its account or pay N13.3 billion into the federation account. NEPZA declared, however, that it did not owe the federation account any money and that the money being demanded was a miscalculation by a consultant engaged to look into its accounts. A ghastly motor accident on Tuesday claimed lives of six persons while three others sustained severe injuries at Ajue town, Odigbo local government area on the Ore-Ondo Expressway, Ondo state. The Unit Commander in Ore of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mrs Sikiru Alonge confirmed the incident on Tuesday in Ore.
