A fresh attack by bandits in Pinau town, in Wase local government area of Plateau state has claimed 10 lives persons and scores of other people injured. The attack occurred after close of their weekly market. A resident, Hamman Sale said the suspected bandits were from Zamfara state. The spokesperson of Plateau state Police Command, ASP Gabriel Ubah confirmed the incident. He however said that the command was yet to have full details on the attack.

The medical director of the center, Dr Aminat Hassan disclosed this during a round table organized by International Human Rights Commission, to commemorate the Day in the State. Gunmen have imposed over N1 million as levies on Birnin Tsaba, Gabaken Mesa, Gabaken Dan-Maliki, Turawa, Askawa and Yanbuki communities in Zurmi, Kaura Namoda and Birnin-Magaji local government areas of Zamfara state.
