In further reaction to attacks and recent burning to death of dozens of travellers in Sokoto state, the Coalition of Northern Groups, CNG, has mobilzed to the state vowing to extract justice for the innocent victims.
Confirming the development in a statement on Sunday, the spokesperson for the CNG, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman said the entire leadership of the Coalition from all the 19 Northern states have arrived Sokoto.
“We are hear to engage families of the victims, the endangered communities in Sokoto and Kebbi, religious clerics and other civil society groups to discuss urgent practical action plan to force government to act.
“Action may not preclude mass protests and prolonged civil disobedience to send the message to government that the game is up and the patience of northerners has reached its nadir.”
