Between January 2024 and August 2025, the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) closed down 6,705 illegal drug stores and arrested 23 people during its nationwide enforcement activities. These operations were carried out to protect public health and improve how pharmacy is practiced in Nigeria. The National Industrial Court in Abuja on Monday issued an interim order restraining the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) from continuing its nationwide strike against the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE. Presiding judge, Justice Emmanuel Sublim, ruled that the industrial action—intended to disrupt operations at the refinery by cutting crude oil and gas supplies—could inflict serious damage on Nigeria’s economy. TotalEnergies plans to sell half of its solar energy portfolio in North America to investment firm KKR, the company announced on Monday. According to Reuters, TotalEnergies will receive $950 million from this deal, which includes both the sale and refinancing from banks. The deal covers six large solar power plants and 41 smaller solar projects, most of which are located in the United States.
