President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday morning, departed Lagos for Abuja after a three-day working visit, to begin another round of inauguration ahead of the commemoration of his one year in office. The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and other dignitaries were on ground to see him off. The Federal Government has pledged to offer more assistance to local airline operators to create enabling environment and ease of operations. Minister of Aviation and Aerospace, Mr Festus Keyamo, made this known when he presented his master card at the ministerial news briefing on the administration of President Bola Tinubu sectorial update. According to him, the government will support and empower all local airline operators as it did with Air Peace to enable them compete with other international airlines. PDP-Delta North, Sen. Ned Nwoko has criticised the recent sack of 317 workers of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and urged the Senate to investigate the purge. Nwoko said on Tuesday in Abuja that the sack was “too hasty”, hence the need to probe the circumstances around it.
