Nigeria’s death status has reached a total of 1,449 from the deadly COVID-19, with the report of 14 more on Monday, the Centre for Disease Control has announced. The centre on its official Twitter handle @ncdcgov also reported 1,617 new cases of the virus. Gunmen Sunday night kidnapped Prof. Aliyu Mohammed of Department of Agriculture, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, and killed his son, Abdulaziz. The lecturer, who is also the Wazirin Wusasa, was abducted Sunday night at Wusasa Zaria, Kaduna state.
