Delivering a ruling, Justice Abimbola Awogboro, discharged Mienapo, after the Prosecution Counsel, Victor Uchendu made an application to withdraw the charge. A new global study has revealed that surgery for other ailments in COVID-19 positive patients should be delayed by at least seven weeks to stave off death. Experts at the University of Birmingham led more than 25,000 surgeons from 116 countries, including Nigeria, to arrive at the research finding. The Green Innovation Centers for Agriculture and Food Sector Program (GIAE) – Nigeria, has synergised with the Ibadan-based International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) to launch an 18-month project to boost maize and cassava production. Zamfara governor, Bello Muhammad says the Nigerian army will deploy additional 6,000 soldiers to the state in an effort to bring lasting peace to the state.
