Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Special Offences Court has granted bail in the sum of two million naira and two sureties to Nollywood actor Olarenwaju Oyiminka (alias Baba Ijesha). An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Thursday ordered that a 56-year-old man, Abiodun Abdulahi, should be remanded in Ikoyi Custodial Centre for allegedly defiling his 12-year-old daughter. The police charged Abdulahi, who resides in Ilado Badagry, Lagos state, with defilement. The magistrate, M.O. Tanimola, gave the order following a motion moved by the Prosecutor, ASP Victor Eruada, that the matter be referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice. The Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has stressed the need to generate more revenue from the non-oil sector to sustain the country’s economy. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on Wednesday launched a research report that assessed the impact of conflict on development in North-East Nigeria.
