The Police Command in Enugu State says it has re-arrested and charged to court two suspects on the alleged defilement of a seven-year old within Enugu metropolis. The Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, said this in a statement in Enugu made available to newsmen. Ndukwe said that the suspects, who were still under investigation, included a 25-year-old native of Akwa Ibom state as well as the grandmother of the victim, who was an accomplice to the crime. The Secretary-General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, Mr Wamkele Mene says 38 countries have now deposited their instrument of ratification of the agreement establishing the AfCFTA. The Police Command in Ekiti confirmed that seven people lost their lives, while many other passengers sustained injuries in an auto accident along Ilumoba-Aisegba road in Ekiti on Tuesday.
