The award was presented to the company at the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award 2021, on Sunday, in Lagos. Established in 2017 and located in Akwa Ibom, Jubilee Syringe Manufacturing company is Africa’s largest syringe making company, with a daily production capacity of over two million syringes. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has directed candidates of the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations, UTME, to check their results through its portal, following issues faced by the use of USSD code 55019. A statement by the spokesperson of the board, Dr Fabian Benjamin on Saturday, said that USSD method had been suspended because of the challenges. Abdalelah Haroun, a Sudan-born sprinter who represented Qatar, has died in a car crash aged 24, track and field governing body World Athletics said on Saturday. Haroun was a former world junior champion over 400 metres and took bronze in the discipline at the 2017 world championships in London. He also won gold at the 2018 Asian Games and 2015 Asian athletics championships, in addition to indoor silver in 2016. The Nigerian Army says its troops of 8 Division have eliminated an unspecified number of bandits in fierce encounters in Talata Marafa local government areas of Zamfara. The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday in Abuja.
