Nigeria recorded N11.92 trillion in equities transactions in 2025, the highest annual turnover in nearly two decades, as a market rally delivered returns of over 50 per cent to investors. Five members of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) voted for a 50-basis-point cut in the Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) at the November 2025 meeting, citing sustained disinflation, improving external buffers, and resilient economic growth.
