Speaking with newsmen in Minna during an interaction on Nigeria at 60, Bello disclosed that the state government pays N16 million every month, adding that there was no justification that the people of Niger state do not pay their electricity bills. The Senate on Tuesday received a request from President Muhammadu Buhari for the confirmation of eight Justices of the Court of Appeal as Justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. The request which was contained in a letter dated August, 31, was read at plenary by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan.
