The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila says record has shown that only nine per cent of the total budgetary allocation to the Nigerian Armed Forces is spent on equipment. Long working hours led to 745,000 deaths from stroke and ischemic heart disease in 2016. This is according to estimates by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) published on Monday. Ischemic or ischaemia is a restriction in blood supply to tissues, causing a shortage of oxygen that is needed for cellular metabolism (to keep tissue alive).
