The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency in Abia has confirmed the torching of a section of its office at Amaekpu in Ohafia local government area. The State Commandent of the agency, Bamidele Akingbade said in Umuahia that the attack took place at about 3pm on Tuesday. Akingbade blamed the attack on hoodlums, adding that only a section of the office complex was set ablaze. The European Union (EU) says it is committed to assisting vulnerable people in countries in the Sahel and Central Africa with a humanitarian aid of €210 million in 2021.
