The police in Lagos State have arrested 12 suspects who attempted to burn Oke-Odo Divisional Police station. The police Command also debunked the rumour that a police station was burnt in the state. The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB), has asked candidates sitting for its mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to reprint their examination slips. Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB) has dismissed 20 teachers in public primary schools for certificate forgery and absence from work. This is contained in a statement in Minna on Monday by the Board Public Relations Officer, Malam Idris Kolo. The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Cereals Research Institute (NCRI), Badeggi, Niger state. The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) says it has bursted a notorious child trafficking syndicate in the Federal Capital Territory and arrested a suspect. The agency said this in a statement by the head of its Press and Public Relations Unit, Mrs Stella Nezan, in Abuja on Monday. The House of Representatives Committee on Finance has queried the spending of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) on diesel, facemasks and hand sanitisers. The committee raised the concerns at a public hearing on monitoring revenue generation by government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in Abuja on Monday. Rep. Nicholas Ossai, a member of the committee said that documents available showed that N2.09 million was spent on purchase of toners, questioning the rationale.
