The Sokoto zonal head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Bawa Usman has said that insider connections facilitate most financial frauds in the banking industry. He stated this on Tuesday in Sokoto at a roundtable with compliance officers of various commercial banks. According to him, the meeting was convened to strengthen relationship and collaborations between the EFCC and commercial banks as a way to sanitise the system against frauds. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and its Production Sharing Contract (PSC) partners have executed agreements to renew Oil Mining Lease (OML) 118 for another 20 years. The partners are Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), Total Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (TEPNG), Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (EEPNL) and Nigerian Agip Exploration (NAE).
