The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said this, indicates a decrease from the 597 cases reported on Tuesday. The centre said the new cases were reported from 14 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The NCDC said Lagos reported 232 cases while Rivers reported 83. It said Enugu-66, Oyo-28, Kaduna-25, FCT-24, Delta-22, Akwa Ibom-19, Kwara-18, Ekiti-13, Bayelsa-nine, Cross River-nine, Ogun-six, Kano-three and Gombe-two. The centre also recorded five deaths. A mission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) will on Thursday visit Guinea which has been gripped by a military coup, according to a communique issued late Wednesday. The communique was issued after a virtual meeting of the organisation, convened by ECOWAS Chairman Nana Addo Akufo-Addo, to discuss the political developments in Guinea. The Department of State Services (DSS) has filed a five-count terrorism charge against two detained associates of Yoruba Nation Agitator, Sunday Adeyemo (aka Sunday Igboho). The charges were filed at the Federal High Court, Abuja, after over two months since officers of the DSS arrested and detained the two aides. The defendants in the charge marked FHC/ABJ/CR/305/2021 are Jamiu Oyetunji and Amudat Babatunde. National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has seized a truckload of unregistered milk suspected to be counterfeit in Sokoto. NAFDAC Coordinator in Sokoto State, Garba Adamu, disclosed this in Sokoto on Wednesday. Adamu said that the consignment of 300 cartons of 35g creamer sachet was seized on September 6 at the popular Kantin Daji market while the vehicle was on transit to Kano.
