The World Bank’s Board of Directors has approved a $400 million credit to Nigeria in additional financing, from its International Development Association (IDA), for COVID-19 vaccine acquisition, the bank announced in a statement it issued on Friday, in Washington. Gunmen kidnapped Dr Ibrahim Garba, Permanent Secretary, Niger Ministry of Transport, and his son on Friday, Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Monday Kuryas, said in Minna on Saturday. Niger state governor, Abubakar Sani-Bello has confirmed that two soldiers died during the recent attack on Kagara Emir’s palace in Rafi local government of the state. Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma of Imo has disclosed that the state will soon receive $120 million from the federal government to fund its livestock programme.
