The Police in Adamawa have confirmed the arrest of four high-profiled kidnappers who were suspected to have abducted a nursing mother and her daughter, according to a statement by DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, on Thursday, in Yola. About 86 per cent of all coronavirus infections in Africa go unnoticed, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported on Thursday. The WHO puts the number of all infections on the continent at 59 million, over seven times more than the eight million reported cases. “The high number of unreported cases can be explained by the fact that health facilities have so far focused on testing people. A Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday, granted a motion by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), seeking to discontinue a suit against the Kogi government. EFCC had brought the suit, seeking an interim order to freeze the sum of N19.3 billion bailout fund, in the account of the state. Dr Solomon Chollom, a Jos-based Virologist, has advised the Federal Government against imposing Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine on its workers. The central parity rate of the Chinese currency renminbi, or the yuan, strengthened 28 pips to 6.4386 against the U.S. dollar on Friday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System. In China’s spot foreign exchange market, the yuan is allowed to rise or fall by 2 per cent from the central parity rate each trading day.
