The West African Centre for Crop Improvement (WACCI) has invited the African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF) to jointly set up a gene editing platform to fast-track crop improvements using modern technologies. The Northern Emancipation Network has lamented that despite the successes claimed by government, rampant attacks on rural communities in Kaduna state persist and people are still kidnapped at will on almost a daily basis. The Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday adjourned the alleged money laundering trial of former Governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, until January 31 and February 1. The case was earlier scheduled for continuation of trial on October 26, but could not proceed due to a mix up in the date, while a new trial date was to be agreed on by parties and fixed by the court.
