The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) have urged the Federal Government to put an end to the fuel shortages and price hike in the country. The Court of Appeal in Abuja has affirmed the candidature and nomination of the governorship candidate of APC in the July 16 governorship election in Osun, Adegboyega Oyetola, and his running mate, Benedict Alabi. Oyetola and Alabi are the immediate past governor and deputy governor of Osun. Tragedy struck on Friday when five persons died in a road crash in Zaranda village on the Bauchi-Jos road. Yusuf Abdullahi, the Sector Commander, FRSC, disclosed this in a road traffic crash report made available in Bauchi on Saturday. Airtel has partnered the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to connect over 300,000 students to digital learning in Nigeria. The Managing Director of Airtel Nigeria, Mr Surendran Chemmenkotil, said this at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to flag off the initiative in Lagos on Friday. Chemmenkotil said that in the first year of the five-year partnership, Airtel and UNICEF would provide all the resources for digital learning to 620 schools.
