ASHENEWS reports that a new General Manager has been appointed for the Alu Yagode FM in Sokoto.
Hayatu Dallatu is a former Sokoto state correspondent of the Voice of Nigeria Hausa service.
Before his recent appointment, which is with immediate effect, Dallatu was the Commercial Manager of the same Alu Yagode FM station.
Alu Yagode FM station and Television is one of the six FM stations, including Vision FM, Garkuwa Radio, Caliphate FM, Royal FM, Rima Radio/FM, approved by the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) for operation.

According to the letter of appointment approved by its proprietor, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, and signed by Mustapha Alkali, Dallatu’s appointment followed the immense contribution to the station’s progress.
Alkali urged Dallatu to redouble his efforts and use his vast knowledge and experience to bring more positive development to the radio station.
The letter also charged him to justify the confidence reposed in him.
Senator Aliyu Wamakko represents Sokoto North Senatorial District at the National Assembly (NASS).
He is a two-term former governor of Sokoto, before which he was deputy governor to Attahiru Dallatu Bafarawa.
He is a seasoned teacher and administrator.
