Female Law students of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) have protested against their Dean, “Prof. Cyril Ndifon” over alleged sexual harassment.
They also alleged that the school authority is suppressing them.
ASHENEWS gathered that Prof. Ndifon had previously in 2916 been dismissed from his role as Dean of Law following allegations of misconduct.
On August 29, 2015, Ndifon was accused of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old 400-level student (whose name was not disclosed) within his faculty premises after summoning her to his office.
The development reportedly resulted in the UNICAL authorities suspending him from his position but later of the accusations, and reinstated as the Dean of its law faculty in 2022.
