The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has suspended the license of a pilot in command for one year for “allowing” an unauthorised person into the cockpit during the departure.
According to a DGCA official, the incident occurred on June 3 when a domestic flight, Air India, was preparing to depart from the airport in the northern city of Chandigarh.
“The pilot license of the first officer was suspended for one month for not being assertive in preventing and non-reporting of the violation,” the DGCA said in a statement on Thursday.
