The Kano state Command of the Nigeria Police Force, has confirmed that a teenage boy, Iro Kwarangwal of Rimin Kebe, Nasarawa local government area, has stabbed his own mother, Jummai to death.
The Command spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, however said on Thursday that details of the incident were still sketchy.
According to him, the Police will furnish journalists with details as soon as possible.
Although, an eyewitness and neighbour of the deceased, Muhammad Abdu said the incident which occurred on Wednesday around 5:30PM was allegedly triggered by “disagreement between mother and child.”
“I was standing outside my house when i suddenly heard screaming from the deceased resident.”
He explained that upon rushing in for possible help “we found the deceased who was stabbed severally with a knife screaming for help.”
The Eyewitness revealed that the suspect fled the scene shortly after he allegedly committed the heinous crime against his mother.
The witness further said the deceased was later taken to Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital in a Tricycle while bleeding heavily.
