#Nigeriadecides: The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has shifted elections in some parts of Yenagoa, Benue State to today.
The INEC made this known in a statement issued on Saturday night and signed by Mr. Wilfred Ifoga, the commission’s Head of Voter Education and Publicity.
The affected registration areas are Epie I and Epie III, Gbarain II, and Okordia.
According to the commission, the Presidential and National Assembly elections, which were held nationwide on Saturday, could not be conducted in the four areas of Yenagoa because the process was disrupted by protesters.
It was gathered that elections could not hold in the area on Saturday due to the lack of ballot papers.
A protest ensued after which security agencies dispersed the crowd by firing warning gunshots to disperse protesters.
