‘Dont despair in this time of hardship’- APC to supporters

The All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in their support of the party and its presidential candidate, Sen. Bola Tinubu, in the face of the current hardship in the country.

The party gave the assurance that the looming darkness facing the country would soon give way to a new dawn, if Sen. Bola Tinunu is elected the president in the Feb. 25 general elections.

Speaking in Akure on Sunday, Mr. Issac Kekemeke, APC National Vice Chairman, urged Nigerians to bear it in mind that “the darkest part of the night is just before the dawn”.

According to him, the inability to access money, the nonavailability of petroleum products, and other man-made challenges are just temporary challenges that will soon fade out.

Kekemeke said that the APC presidential candidate had moved from one place to another “with a program which practically addresses today’s challenges on the Nigerian people,”

The APC chieftain also explained further that Tinubu, in the course of his campaigns, had been addressing the particular challenges that every sector of Nigerian society faces.

According to Kekemeke, the APC has run a more vigorous campaign than any other political party across the country.

“Our party remains grateful to the Nigeria people who have trooped out en mass to embrace Bola Ahmed Tinunu everywhere he went “despite the temporary difficulties stirring all of us in the face.

“APC is grateful, and its presidential candidate is grateful. Despite the man-made challenges, Nigerians still embrace our party and candidate wherever he goes.

“However, we are appealing to Nigerians and the electorates to remain steadfast in their support for Asiwaju. In a short time, the looming darkness will surely give way to a new dawn.

“We are sure of this because the man-made challenges can signify only one thing: that it will soon be a new day break with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the helm of affairs,” he said.

Kekemeke saluted the political sagacity of Sen. Bola Tinubu and the APC governors for speaking against the Federal Government and taking it to court over its “anti-people monetary policy” despite the fact the government is controlled by their party.

According to him, other political parties are supporting the policy that has brought unprecedented hardship to the people because they want the suffering to continue.

“Though Nigerians are wiser than most of us think, and I believe they are able to read between the lines. They know who is responsible for the policy, what the policy is meant to achieve and those who are supporting it.

“If you like, hoard the fuel. If you like, let there be no money. We will go and vote for Tinubu. This slogan is popular here in the South-West because Nigerians are educated, and they know whom they want as their president,” he said.

The APC chieftain, who is optimistic that Tinubu would win the forthcoming presidential election, said that those who are being deceived would soon get the scale off their eyes.

According to him, people tend to know who is who and who is where in political permutations, and they are gravitating toward the winning side.

“As the election draws closer, boys are being separated from men. Grandstanding gives way to political reality and many groups and personalities will soon join the winning team, which is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“So, it is clear. Evidence of Asiwaju’s victory can be touched now. Lines are falling in places for him and he is going to win in the North, West, East, and South because he is the product of a divine purpose and political hard work,” he said.

Kekemeke, therefore, charged relevant authorities to support the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on logistics for it to conduct a free, fair, transparent, and credible election.

“This election is about Nigeria and the Southwest in particular, and I know that we in the Southwest are very educated and independent-minded.

“But in a situation where yours is the best, where yours has the best program, where yours is embraced by others, it makes no sense to reject that yours because you want to show that you are educated or independent-minded,” he said.
