ASHENEWS reports that the Zambia National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), has signed two Memoranda of Understanding.
This online platform further reports that the MoUs were signed between the Directorate of National Science Centre in the Ministry of Education and the Dziwa Science & Technology Trust (DSaT).
While the acting Executive Secretary, Guest Mugala signed on behalf of NSTC, Dr. Benson Banda signed on behalf of the National Science Centre and Mrs. Veronica Mwaba signed on behalf of Dziwa Science and Technology Trust (DSaT).
The DSaT director, Veronica Mwaba told ASHENEWS that the MoU will expand and consolidate the working relationship between the two institutions and strengthen efforts for joint advocacy and promotion of Science, Technology and Innovation through public engagements.
It will also enhance the application and adoption of modern technologies and value of evidence-based science across the key sectors of the economy in the country.
The MoU will enable the two institutions to join efforts towards the development of innovations by learners.
Similarly, it will see further development of viable projects from the Junior Engineers Technician Scientist (JETS) system to a level where they can be commercialized and utilized.
