Youths under the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Niger state have been urged to reconcile their differences and work for the victory of the party in the 2023 general elections across the state.
The youths were urged during a reconciliation and peace talk organized to bring together youths who were aggrieved over the outcome of the party primaries.
The Convener of the reconciliation meeting, Dr Mustapha Jubril said that once the youths are reconciled, the future and victory of the APC in the forthcoming general elections are assured.
“Youths are active in practising politics but as a result of the primary election, several of them are aggrieved. The primaries came with a lot of challenges, we are here to discuss some of the challenges we faced during the party primaries and encourage the youths to embrace discussion, dialogue and peace because we don’t want to see a violent 2023 general election.
“That is why we had to find time to resolve issues and make way for progress. We are here to talk, deliberate and see grey areas where the differences need to be resolved to sail through the 2023 election. Believe that if we want to go far, we have to go together.”
The APC North-Central Youth Leader, Zubairu Aliyu commended the APC and the Convener for the reconciliation and peace talk calling on the youths to embrace peace and mobilize themselves for the victory of the party in the state.
“Youths are the leaders of today. We are strategic and fore thinkers. We need peace and reconciliation to forge ahead and this is the last stage in the electioneering process. The primaries have been done, some won and some lost. It is up to us to conduct the general elections in oneness and present a unified front. The youths in Niger state need to stop antagonizing and start reorganizing themselves.”
The National Coordinator of the APC Supporter Center, Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar Batati also applauded the reconciliation and peace talk saying that it is a good motive for riding to victory.
“I am happy to see the youths been engaged and reconciled. Happy that the youths are trying to find a way forward. Youths will make a lot of things happen in the state. There is move on the ground to improve and the Niger state APC youths are on the path to victory.”
