Niger state governor, Abubakar Bello has reshuffled his cabinet 24 hours after he swore in seven new Commissioners as members of the state executive council.
The governor also approved the creation of new ministry of Internal Security and Humanitarian Affairs to be headed by Mr Emmanuel Umar as well as redeployed three commissioners to other ministries.
This is contained in a statement by the Secretary to the Niger State Government Ahmed Ibrahim Matane on Friday, said Bello assigned portfolios to the seven newly inaugurated commissioners.
“Those affected are Al Zakari Abubakar who moved from ministry of Finance to that of planning commission Ramatu Yaradua from ministry of Transport to Investment Commerce and Industry and Tanko Zakari moved from Ministry of Environment to ministry of Transport.
“Nine commissioners have retained their portfolio while Niger state Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has approved the creation new ministry of of Internal Security and Humanitarian Affairs to be headed by Emmanuel Umar,” the statement reads.
The reshuffled cabinet is with immediate effect.
