Ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Maiduguri Thursday, the ISWAP fighters have leashed explosives on Ngomari, Ayafe and Bulumkutu areas of the town in Borno state.
ASHENEWS learned from a source in Maiduguri that although the Nigerian military troops are reported to have been deployed to foil attack on Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, property are reported to have been destroyed and unascertained number of casualties recorded.
Also, PRNigeria gathered that some surveillance military aircraft have been deployed to assist the ground troops forestall any impending attack by ISWAP elements.
