A gas explosion at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun state, has reportedly killed two persons.
The explosion, which occurred at 11am Thursday morning at the Marcque event centre, was said to have occurred when technicians were trying to fill some air conditioning units with gas at the Library.
A worker at the Library confirmed the tragic incident to newsmen.
“2 persons have already been confirmed dead,” the worker said.
Security guards manning the gate asked some newsmen who were trying to get into the facility to go back.
On the truck of the State Fire Service and some officials into the premises were allowed into the premises.
Meanwhile, the bodies of those killed in the incident were evacuated by a rescue team that arrived shortly after the incident.
