The Overseer of Voice of Mercy Ministries, Evangelist Muyiwa Ojo-Peters, General, has established the Flora and Muyiwa Ojo-Peters Foundation to support the less privileged, as part of activities marking his birthday.
Ojo-Peters announced the Foundation during Sunday service at the church’s headquarters in Minna, which coincided with his birthday.
He said he wanted the occasion to go beyond gifts, messages, prayers and well wishes from members, family, friends and well-wishers, and instead begin an initiative that would touch people’s lives.
The Foundation, according to the Clergy, will reach out to both church members and non-members who need support.
As a first step, Peters selected 25 members from across the church’s branches and headquarters and provided them with cash assistance. The beneficiaries were drawn from the men, women, youth, teenagers and children’s sections.
“This is not a gift but a support. I made the selections personally and selected from the men, women, youths, teenagers and children sections of the church. Soon, this will grow to awarding scholarships, business start-ups and empowerment,” he said.
Ojo-Peters described the foundation as a means of helping and uplifting destinies and repositioning lives.
He called on people of like mind to support the initiative so that they can work together to change and uplift lives.
