The member representing Kokona East constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Mr. Daniel Ogazi, has disbursed N12 million to 600 women in his constituency.

Ogazi made the disbursement on Saturday in Garaku, Kokona Local Government Area.

The lawmaker, who recently secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Keffi/Karu/Kokona Federal constituency for the 2027 elections, stated that the funds were to help women boost their businesses and agricultural activities.

He explained that the money was part of his entitlements as a legislator and promised to extend the gesture to women in Keffi and Karu LGAs as well.

“What I am doing today is to appreciate your efforts and support during the APC primaries for the Keffi/Karu/Kokona Federal Constituency.

“I urge you to use the money to improve your standard of living and that of your families,” he said.

Ogazi also disclosed that he has sunk over 72 boreholes, constructed bridges, culverts, roads, provided electricity, and empowered residents through various initiatives.

He pledged to deliver effective representation and more dividends of democracy to the people of Keffi/Karu/Kokona if re-elected in 2027.

The lawmaker urged residents to vote for all APC candidates in the 2027 elections, including President Bola Tinubu, Senator Aliyu Wadada, the Nasarawa State APC governorship candidate, and others.

Ogazi called for continued unity and peace among residents, regardless of political affiliations.

At the event, Hasiya Ahmed, Secretary of the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Mr. Terry Bado, APC Chairman of Kokona LGA, and Mr. Bawa Rabo, SSA to Gov. Abdullahi Sule on the Greater Karu Initiative, praised Ogazi for consistently prioritizing the interests of the people.

They said the gesture would significantly improve the living standards of the beneficiaries and their families.

Earlier, Mr. Manasseh Sambo, Chairman of the Ogazi Empowerment Committee, announced that each woman received N20,000.

He urged the beneficiaries to use the funds wisely and to continue praying and supporting Ogazi’s efforts.

Some beneficiaries—Mrs. Justina Boka, Mary Bala, and Hauwa Bala—expressed gratitude to Ogazi for the gesture and prayed for his success.
