In a robust drive to fast-track grassroots development, Engr. Mike Adeyanju has rolled out a comprehensive package of infrastructure and welfare interventions across the six Local Government Areas of Ondo North Senatorial District.

Operating in line with Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s “Our Ease Agenda”, Adeyanju has made the welfare of the people his primary mandate. His interventions cut across key sectors that directly affect the quality of life of rural communities, including water supply, healthcare, education, security, and agriculture.

One of the most visible achievements is in the area of water and sanitation. Over 20 communities have benefited from the renovation and construction of boreholes, significantly improving access to clean and potable water.

In the area of infrastructure and security, solar-powered street lights have been installed in several rural settlements to enhance safety, improve nighttime visibility, and support local economic activities.

The social services sector has also received attention, with extensive renovation works carried out on Primary Health Centres and school buildings to strengthen service delivery and create more conducive learning and healthcare environments.

Agricultural development remains a core focus of the programme. Farmers across the district have benefited from training programmes, as well as the distribution of high-quality seedlings and essential farm tools aimed at boosting productivity and food security.

Looking ahead, Engr. Adeyanju has announced that the 2026 fiscal year will open with a specialised welfare programme targeted at widows and other vulnerable groups. The initiative is expected to provide economic safety nets, enhance social inclusion, and offer renewed hope to the most disadvantaged members of society.

Collectively, these interventions underscore a clear commitment to ensuring that the dividends of democracy are not merely theoretical but are physically felt in the daily lives of the grassroots population of Ondo North.
