The Archbridge Care Foundation, a gospel-based foundation, has donated essential food items and quality fabrics to 100 widows in Angwan Makeri, Rantya Community in Jos.
Dr Ololade Akinrmola, founder of the foundation, while donating items on Saturday in Jos, said the gesture was a means of bringing much-needed relief and hope to vulnerable households.
Akinrmola said the donation was part of the foundation’s ongoing humanitarian initiatives aimed at supporting widows and indigent persons.
According to her, the foundation, which is operational in 24 states of the federation, monthly picked a community in a state and fed and clothed at least 100 indigent persons apart from sharing the gospel with them.
She reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to empowering marginalised groups, especially widows who often shouldered heavy financial burdens alone.
Akinrmola stated that Archbridge would commence empowering the indigents and widows with skills in 2026.
She explained that the initiative was designed to promote social welfare, strengthen community resilience and restore hope to disadvantaged families.
One of the beneficiaries, a widow named Joy Luka who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), commended the foundation for the donations.
Luka said the gesture was timely, as it was almost Christmas and she wouldn’t need to buy fabrics for her children.
Similarly, Mrs Grace Akpan thanked the foundation for the donation and said the gesture brought succour to them. (NAN)
