The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Niger State chapter, has congratulated Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago on the occasion of his second anniversary in office, describing his leadership as transformational and impactful.

In a statement made available to journalists in Minna, the CAN Chairman and Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese, Dr. Bulus Yohanna, commended Governor Bago for what he described as two years of meritorious and selfless service to the people of Niger State.

According to him, the Governor’s tenure so far has recorded tremendous achievements that stand in clear contrast to previous administrations.

“Nigerlites will forever remain grateful for Governor Bago’s commitment, dedication, passion, and determination in his quest to transform the state,” he said.

Bishop Yohanna particularly lauded the Governor for his massive investments in road rehabilitation and reconstruction across the state. “He has written his name in gold in the history of Niger State, since its creation over four decades ago,” the statement added.

The CAN Chairman also acknowledged the administration’s focus on key sectors such as education, agriculture, women and youth development, healthcare delivery, and rural infrastructure.

He expressed gratitude to God for the life and leadership of Governor Bago and offered prayers for continued wisdom, protection, good health, and divine guidance for him as he steers the affairs of the state.

The bishop further called on all Nigerlites to support the administration in its mission to achieve the “New Niger Agenda,” assuring that the entire Christian community will continue to pray for the governor’s success.
