Floods caused by heavy downpours have severed a crucial section of the Kano-Maiduguri Highway at Malori-Guskuri, a community in the Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi State. The flooding has rendered the highway impassable, significantly disrupting transportation between the North-West and North-East regions of Nigeria.

Governor Mohammed called on the Federal Government to urgently intervene in repairing the damaged portion of the highway.
