One of Nigeria’s telecom company, Airtel Nigeria has officially launched its fifth generation (5G) technology.
ASHENEWS reports that the development is coming about one year after MTN Nigeria pioneered the service, followed by Mafab Communications.
As it is, MTN, Mafab and Airtel are now offering services of the 5G technology.
According to the Chief Commercial Officer at Airtel Nigeria, Femi Oshinlaja, the 5G services will, in the main time, be available in four major cities of Lagos, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, Ogun and Rivers states.
The technology promises to deliver super-fast data services and redefine services in other sectors of the economy including medicine, agriculture and others.
