The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has given financial support to street sweepers who got injured while working. They also gave money to the families of sweepers who died while doing their jobs.

Kwara state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has provided health insurance for all street sweepers in the state, saying this was necessary for them to be healthy and active at work.
